The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Fighters Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of characters, and a thrilling plot including celestial beings, evil spirits, and dark forces increasing in power within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of the new season follow below.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The third episode concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of adventurers who will branch out from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.

What Defines the Combat Party

Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose death started the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading the hidden lair, striking the rogue, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.

The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each character has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants revenge.
  • The adventurer is familiar with the region and advises that it is a hostile location.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to kill the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their position as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the team access places they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and Wicander turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to head to the remote area in pursuit of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the combat party won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight players to round up the Explorers and Schemers parties.

Viewers can look forward to discovering which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
